Description
A great recipe for white chili. It goes great over rice, or with a nice bread.
Ingredients
1 lb
boneless skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1/2-inch cubes) 1
medium onion (chopped) 1 1⁄2 t
garlic powder 1 T
canola oil 2 cn
great northern beans, ( rinsed and drained - 15-1/2 ounces each) 1 cn
chicken broth (14-1/2 ounces) 2 cn
chopped green chilies (4 ounces each) 1 t
salt 1 t
ground cumin 1 t
dried oregano 1⁄2 t
pepper 1⁄4 t
cayenne pepper 1 c
sour cream (8 ounces) 1⁄2 c
heavy whipping creamInstructions
In a large saucepan, saute the chicken, onion and garlic powder in oil until chicken is no longer pink. Add the beans, broth, chilies and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in sour cream and cream. Yield: 7 servings.
